A Coffee Tour of Downtown Ocean Springs
There are two types of people: the people who plan their entire vacation around coffee and those who don’t. If you’re one of those who do, don’t worry- we’ve done the homework for you!
From The Inns and The Hemingway, there are four great coffee stops within walking distance from your doorstep.
Bright Eyed Brew Co.
If you ask an Ocean Springs local for a good coffee shop recommendation, the chances of them responding with “Bright Eyed!” are pretty high. Located mere steps from your room, this one is an early morning no-brainer. What started as a charming coffee cart slinging nitro cold brew at the fresh market on Saturdays has lovingly become a regular stop in the heart of downtown.
From their signature nitro cold brew to special concoctions with small-batch and house-made syrups like bananas foster, lavender, and horchata- you will find something on the menu that’s made for you. Top it off with a homemade Nutella waffle and you’re ready for the day!
The District Coffee Company
A few blocks down Government Street you’ll find The District Coffee Company- an eclectic and casual place to stop in for a coffee and a bite. Their walls are covered in local artwork and they always have something good playing over the speakers. Patio seating is great for people watching and it’s pup-friendly as well.
They have all the basics for the purists (and they do it well) but they also have some funky selections to choose from like CBD add-ins, peanut butter cold brew, and Red Bull Infusions.
Tato Nut
Next up on our tour is the one and only Tato Nut. While they’re known for their donuts, they also serve up a great cup of coffee. They have everything from fun, frozen favorites for the whole family to a simple and perfect cup of dark roast.
Pair it with one of their legendary donuts and this stop is the perfect pick-me-up.
French Kiss Pastries
Last but not least, we leave you with French Kiss Pastries. Located on Washington Avenue amid some really great shopping, French Kiss is the perfect place to stop to cure that sweet tooth and snag a little caffeine.
You can grab some pastries to bring back to your room for the next morning as well!
